Whoever has goats watches them, and whoever watches them, eats them (someone who takes the time to watch over something so as not to lose it and is later rewarded for their efforts)

As the shepherd sleeps, the farther the goats wander off (someone who sleeps on the job)

The goat who gives a lot of milk, can be distinguished by its kid (a healthy child represents good mothering)

The lamb has the name and the kid (young goat) has the taste (the meat of the goat tastes better than the more famous lamb; also refers to how the better known is not always the best)

From the point that the goat jumps, the kid jumps (children follow their parents example – good or bad)

The man who had ten goats did not go hungry, the man who had ten cows for plowing went hungry (some things are more useful than others)

He is following me like a kid (baby goat) (refers to not being able to get rid of someone or how a child is too attached to his mother)

What do you want with the kid with you (impolite parents who bring their uninvited children along)
